“All of the staff were extremely friendly and professional. The Yorkshire breakfast was excellent.”

“Overall this was a very pleasant, enjoyable stay with much to be applauded. The newly refurbished superior double was fabulous with stylish decor, a comfy king bed, good TV channel choice (my husband and I were staying the night purely to relax and 'get away') and a proper seating area with sofa. We had a meal downstairs in the evening and the food was beautiful. The menu was mainly British fair with an exceptional selection of game and fish alongside the more commonly seen chicken, beef and pork. In particular, my pigeon pithivier starter and my husband's king scallop starter were simply delicious. Although not cheap, the food and drink was without doubt well priced for the quality and portion size we received. We thought £100 for 3 courses each with 2 ales, 1 whiskey, 1 liqueur coffee and 3 soft drinks was more than good value. We very much enjoyed our 'get away' weekend and found the overall atmosphere of the hotel to be cosy, welcoming and friendly.”
