Willing and friendly staff, particularly the Manager. Newly renovated room, very clean and spacious - can put in 1 or two folding beds. Price is cheaper than similar hotels around the Lake. Good value for money.”

“The hotel is much underrated. Excellent location overlooking the lake, spacious, clean & comfy room, great indoor and outdoor onsen, personal service by the owner. The 5-course dinner at 3,000 yen is highly recommended. When we couldn't find a taxi (please beware that there is no taxi service near Chuzenji Lake) and the bus would not bring us to the train station in time, the hotel owner told a staff member (later we learnt she was his daughter) to give us a free ride to Nikko. Highly recommended!”
