“The onsen facilities and proximity to local walking routes to see Mt Fuji were wonderful. The onsen has a range of pools across two other hotel venues which were a real treat (with indoor and outdoor pools). We took the trail over the foot hills to Lake Ashi from Hakone Yumoto, which was a great way to escape the mass of tourists in the region. The traditional room was attractive and clean.”
“The view is awesome, the food is really good and the way that the staff treat to their customer is really nice from the way they guide customer and even ask to give their customer a drive.”
“The hot spring was great! it comes with variety of pool. The room was great! Very big room and I like the traditional feel. The meals were great! It's a pity I only stay for 1 night, will surely go back again!”
“Spa was fabulous. I enjoyed many different tubs including out door tubs with water fall, sauna, jacuzzi, and clean well equipped change room. Outside of hot spring area, there are nice rest area with refreshment vending machines and free massage chairs.”
“Fantastic onsen (Japanese hot tub). One indoor pool, 5 out door pools in beautiful setting. Pool temperature was perfect. Some other onsen I visited were so hot I was unable to stay in. Room was large and comfortable. Slippers and robe provided to go to onsen.”
“The onsen were unreal! A really chilled out atmosphere that helped us unwind from tokyo.”
“The onsen was very relaxing. The rules say “no tattoos” but I covered mine up, and there were no problems. The Japanese style family room is actually like two rooms, very big!”
“The view is really good as it's situated high up in the mountains, overlooking the rest of the hotels and ryokans. The traditional room we booked is spacious and very clean with nice big windows that has a great view. We also really like the outdoor onsen too, as it faces the mountain and forest, very peaceful and relaxing. Dinner was pretty good too.”
“Hotel was situated on the slopes of a mountain. Would be advisable to get a taxi up there as one could get ridiculously lost if they were to walk up. The hotel although not the newest in the area was comfortable enough. Staff spoke rudamentary English and were very helpful. The onsen (hot springs) in the hotel was amazing. Travellers should probs read about the onsen in the provided info-sheet before going to the hot springs though. There is quite abit of Dos / Donts for the first timer. Yukata's provided were clean and comfy. Japanese breakfast provided was tasty. It was sort of like a set meal so dont be expecting cereal and milk. There is a restaurant in the hotel if you don't get the meal plans. Probably advisible to eat here as the area is quite steep and would require lots of walking.”
“Very sweet hotel, spacious room, with wonderful view. only japanese breakfast but this was very good. Although not all of the staff spoke english, all our questions were answered. Somtimes with using gestures and hand signs :) - Shuttleservice to the trainstation”
