“Massive room in a large, rather grand and gently faded old building. Large garden area. Friendly staff.”
“The building is charming, restored perfectly and a little like an art gallery. Very eclectic collection from Terra Cotta Soldiers at the stairs to wood carvings and woven rugs. Only 12 rooms and no two are alike. Absolutely love the creaky wooden staircase. The proprietors are gracious and welcoming. Did not have breakfast. I stayed two nights, changed from street side to garden side and second floor to third floor. Cooler and quieter away from busy N21 street noise. Fan and open windows were adequate cooling during the two 72 - 78 degree days. There is no A/C so it might be toasty if the outside temperatures were higher. Lovely garden, great place to lounge in the hammock or swim or read a book in the shade.”
“The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and made us a pot of tea on our arrival. We asked to have breakfast served in the bedroom which was not a problem. We had a very pleasant and restful stay after a long working day.”
