“Great breakfast choices. Minor moan. We requested milk for the room and it never arrived”
“Wonderful garden - stunning, particularly if you are a keen English Garden plantsperson. Dinners were outstanding: best at Gravetye so far. Bedroom comfortable. Staff uniformly excellent.”
“Outstanding high quality hotel with exceptional attention to detail. The locally grown and sourced food from the Michelin star chef is awesome. A beautiful location in which to relax and be pampered.”
“Amazing breakfast and a wonderful dinner tasting menu. Wine list and sommelier are both outstanding.”
“What a fantastic retreat. The William Robinson gardens now so carefully tended by Tom Coward make this place feel like a little slice of heaven. The small size of the hotel made it feel very intimate and the staff were all welcoming and helpful. The food was also excellent. We bumped into George Bloog, head chef, gathering ingredients in the walled kitchen garden before we had the exquisite tasting menu. A weekend that will not be soon forgotten.”
“Our room was beautiful, there were so many little extra touches that made it feel very homely. I loved the water and biscuits for our journey home! The staff were fantastic and our stay was absolutely magical. We had the 8 course tasting menu and then a little tipsy, went and played croquet under the stars wrapped in the glorious garden and all of the perfume from it!”
“Exceptional location, garden, food, staff, service. Would readily return.”
“This was the most relaxing place to stay. The staff were very professional ,friendly and approachable and the setting and gardens were beautiful.”
“Very good food, though we found the dining chairs to be wholly uncomfortable and for the second and third nights, and breakfasts we dined in one of the lounges with better chairs. Having lunch in the garden or drinks before was a lovely experience. Good attention to comfort details in the rooms, such as a night light in the bathroom, plenty of bottled water and very comfortable bed and bed linen.”
“very english experience - just a tad expensive for what it is.”
