“The hotel was really central. The staff were very helpful at the desk they told me about the pink card to have free parking, i have stayed in hotles before and had to pay for parking. we were a young couple who wanted a two day break away from home life and work. Thanks for being so nice....it really is the little tings in life chloe x”

“Especially warm and friendly front desk staff, all the breakfast staff were also lovely (especially Jenny). Beds and bed linens lovely and comfortable and the room was kept clean. Beautiful Victorian lobby decorated with Christmas lights/somewhat more modern bedroom with nice colors and tall floor to ceiling windows. Central to everything in the town. The hotel has a great buzz during the day with the restaurant being a very popular place for lunch. I enjoyed seeing everyone come and go from an old fashioned sofa in the lobby. Fancy desserts and cappucino in the cafe.”

“The smiling welcome. The blazing fire. The fabulous woodwork. The "Olde Worlde" charm. The helpfulness & warmth of staff. The breakfast with the best fresh-fruit salad ever. The location slap bang in the centre of town and beside the pedestrianised area , the park & rose gardens, the museum etc.”
