“This is a lovely stylish hotel, with very friendly staff and beautiful public spaces. The room was warm and comfortable and had a balcony looking out over the street. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of storage space and coat hangers. Breakfast was excellent-cereals, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, toast, pastries, cakes (the apple crumble cake was gorgeous), yoghurt and all the usual cheeses and meats. We were lucky enough to be able to sit out in the garden as the weather was hot and the swimming pool looked like it would be nice in the summer. Some may find the location a bit off putting as the hotel is a few steps from the train station and there are a lot of people around, but we went out every evening and returned after 10pm and never felt troubled at all (we are both 60). Our room faced the street and was very quiet. The old town is literally straight down the road, a five minute walk away where there are lots of lovely places to eat.”
