“I arrived just after 6 a.m., knowing I might not be able to get my room until after checkout time at noon but having nowhere else to go. The night porters let me in and brought me tea. The receptionist arrived early and arranged for my room around 7. I realize that might not always be the case, depending on room availability, but I was impressed with their willingness to help and their friendliness. The room itself was clean, with nice new carpet, and felt happy.”
