“A bit impersonal and too close to the road, but a practical place to stay in order to be close to the cliff dwellings of Mesa Verde.”
“This is the best place to stay! I couldn't imagine driving up and down the mountain each day. The staff was great. Definitely take their tours! Well worth the money and without them you don't necessarily understand what you're looking at and the place is so special with such history! The park is one of the easiest to navigate around and the sites are pretty much open for exploration, which was amazing. And the maps were really good. The dining room at the main Lodge is wonderful, but pricey. However, they have other dining options that are a bit more reasonable and a short drive. All the food was good.”
“Excellent location in the centre of Mesa Verde NP which saves and extra 3 hours+ travelling every day. Parking directly outside lodge. Other guests very quiet. Lodges are comfortable with all the amenities that you would expect. Reservation process worked well. Restaurant on site open quite late. Other cheaper restaurant nearby suitable for breakfast but closed early at 6 pm.”
“All about the location - Mesa Verde National Park. Come here after getting tour tickets at the visitors center in Cortez, having dinner, and picking up some yogurts/milk for the next day's breakfast to put in minifrig. Drive out to a Mesa to watch the sunset, then wake up to a sunrise view, ready to start your day touring the park.”
“Although the rooms are small, the bed was comfortable and quiet. We loved Metate Restaurant. The food was wonderful, and staff helpful. Overall, this is a good place to stay while in the park. It gave us an opportunity to see more of the park.”
“The location in the park is great for access to both mesas. The food at the main dining room was a bit expensive, but very good. All of the rooms had somewhat of a nice view.”
