“The place was a pleasent surprise. The location was excellent since it was located right in front of the train station. The staffs were very nice and attentive. The building is a little old and the bedding not so fluffy. The food is very japanese and we enjoyed all the local vegetables and ingredients. A little pricy. But all in all we had a great time and we would recommend this place to anybody who want to experience japanese care and food.”

“Fantastic location directly across from Echigo Yuzawa station and right on the main commercial street. Buses to ski resorts leave from opposite side of the train station, an easy 5 minute walk. We went to Kagura ski resort, a 15 min bus or cab ride from town. Kagura has a long season because of elevation. Many restaurants and shops nearby, especially in the train station. Be sure to try the sake tasting room in the station; you can sample up to five kinds of local sake for 500 yen from mini vending windows. Our room was very pleasant and quiet. Beds were small but comfortable -- we had two twins beds. Nice washlet toilet in the room. The public spa upstairs on the 5th floor was compact but very adequate. TV in room. The breakfast was included and was a traditional Japanese breakfast with grilled fish, rice, egg and coffee. The desserts look fantastic.”

“If you're looking for a nice traditional setting, this is the place to go. Check in process was super smooth, they even let some of our friends leave their luggage in the front desk area for the day. Literally a 1 minute walk from Echigo-Yuzawa station, 1 minute from the shuttle to GALA Yuzawa and 7-11 so it's super easy and convenience. Free hot baths (Onsen) and reakfast was also delicious (Japanese style).”
