“I had a magnificent stay! The hotel is also a pub, so I wanted to get me a sundowner before bed. There I met some locals, and some of the hotel staff on their evening off. I had the best time of my life! Such lovable and funny people, and the staff treated me like a part of their family. Have been in many hotels, but never experienced this before. I definitely come again!”
“Bedrooms newly refurbished to a high standard. Accomodation clean and wonderfully warm. No view and kitchen was closed the to ongoing upgrades at the time however the staff were more than helpful booking taxis and making toast for my daughter's and i at half 5 in the morning just so we didn't go to the airport on an empty stomach. Would definately stay there again.”
“Simply outstanding! Very clean and tidy with friendly staff who also had sparkling white shirts on. It was well worth the money and I would highly recommend this place. I had a 50 inch smart TV in my room which was nice.There was a pub downstairs with friendly people who weren't shy to say "hello". I would be glad to stay at Douglas Hotel again sometime soon. Great job guys!”
“The staff I met were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and spacious and had all facilities you would require. The manageress even got up early to make me a bacon roll the day I checked out at 5am.”
“The landlady was so helpful and kind. Newly deocorated, the room was a delight, immaculate and airy. The bathroom was sparkling and even had free soap and shampoo. Situated in a residential neighborhood, it does not have any close neighbours so it was very quiet. T2 Trainspotting was filmed in the hotel and the rooms are named after Ewan McGregor and Ewen Bremner and Jonny Lee Miller. Definitely recommended!”
