“The staff of the hotel is very kind and obligingly.”
“Convenient location. English speaking. Polite and helpful staff. Clean. Warm. Overall a very pleasant time.”
“I wanted to stay in traditional houtong setting in Beijing, albeit with modcons, hence picked this place. Location is very good, accessible, near most tourist spots. No breakfast, and staff doesn't really speak English, difficult to communicate. In addition beware western credit cards are not accepted, just cash, so take plenty.”
“The location of the hotel is excellent. It is in a traditional Hutong and is very close to Shichahai metro station. It is within the 2nd ring of Beijing, which is very close to the centre. It takes about 20-25 minutes by bus to get to Tianmen Square and the Forbidden City (due to the constant traffic tension in Beijing, it is actually really close by distance). The hotel is also very close to Houhai (10-minute walk) which has the liveliest night life with a lot of unique stores, street food, restaurants and bars with live music. The staff were super friendly and spoke English. There are a lot of food options around in the area and also a lot of stores selling various things. There are some little details that are particularly nice about this hotel: They hang a little organiser pouch behind the room door that has a lot of small but useful items, such as nail clipper and plasters, which is very considerate. The bathroom is very spacious.”
“Very kind staff and helpfull. Location is really good close to subway and Donhzimen station and the street with bars. At the begging of the street you have a good restaurant for breakfast. The street is very alive with small shops and restaurants. ”
“bedroom cosy and had lots of power sockets to charge electronics including 5v USB powered cables”
“Stayed for 3 nights. The first room I got was horrible, it was next to the reception so you could hear everyone and everything and room had no window. They changed the room the following day which was better - quiet and with the window. Staff is very helpful - they don't speak English much but they used translator and helped me with all my queries. I needed an iron - they didn't have one but they gave me steam machine which was much better than an iron. Staff was amazing, hotel room basic - can be noisy if you have noisy guest next door - wall are very thin.”
“the location in the middle of a nice huttong area, close to stores and business. My room was really small but was comfortable. The only lady working there speaking English is a really nice person and very helpful. She helped me to move my family to rooms in the first floor because there is no elevator and my mom and aunt cannot go up and down the stairs with the luggage. The atmosphere is nice, the room has a more than the necessary: amenities and a lot of outlets with USB connections! Next to the hotel is a nice store selling import wine, beers and soft drinks and food. In the night they arrange some chairs and table so you can enjoy the night outside. The neighborhood is safe and you can experience the real Chinese way of life.”
“The location was great. Some really interesting and busy local streets and a lot of choice for places to eat. Fairly close to the metro/subway so easy to get around central Beijing.”
“The staff was very helpfull, also they booker are traintickets. We loved to stay there. They also spook English!”
