“There was a built in museum, opal finishing room and souvenir shop, a bar, daytime cafe and night time restaurant and a tunnel from these to reception. Our room was sunk into the side of the hill and was very dark and cool.”

“When we booked via Booking.com I provided my usual Canadian CC to confirm the booking, Booking.com website said no payment would be put through until we arrived at the hotel and we could choose form of payment on arrival. We paid A$cash for our stay. I have just looked at my Canadian CC and find that the total 2 day cost was debited at the time of booking then refunded when I paid cash. The difference in debit rate and credit rate of exchange resulted in it costing me over $40 CDA for a "free" "cancellable" booking. I am upset with Booking.com as I would not have used my Canadian CC if I had known that there would be an immediate debit on booking. I will think twice about using booking.com in the future.”
