“Okay, so you know The Dr. Faust lived/stayed in Room 5, right? That was why we stayed here - and that room did not disapoint! It's only a few euros more than other rooms. The ambiance in the restaurant is great - the sleeping rooms are accessed by asking waitstaff for your key. Access is by stairs, so be fit. The location of the Gasthaus is great and Staufen is great. Staff were very good. The restaurant was great, but not cheap. We enjoyed walking around the old town and climbing up to the old castle ruins.”
