“We received a really warm welcome. We do not speak Flemish, however most staff spoke excellent English. We met the hotel owner and she was extremely friendly and interesting to speak to. Breakfast was traditionally continental and you could have as much as you like with a good size pot of good coffee. The hotel was built in the 1920's but it has been looked after and it was lovely and clean. The room was a bit stuffy but we could open a balcony door which helped. We visited for the WW1 commemorations in Ypres and this hotel is around 15-20 mins drive from Ypres with beautiful views over the local countryside. We would highly recommend this hotel and we will be visiting again.”
“The ambience was very friendly, and buzzing. Food choice was good, a tremendous outdoor playground for children within site of restaurant but did not interfere with diners. A good selection of snack type food or the more usual restaurant choices depending on time of day. The rooms were fairly basic, the beds were comfortable and clean. The family owners were v friendly and helpful, they made the visit!”
