“Location is excellent, easy walk to everything in the centre. Food was very good but very expensive. No choice for a vegetarian if eating there more than once. Bar and restaurant very nicely presented with good atmosphere. Bar man very helpful and friendly. Dog friendly and we could eat in the bar with the dog!”

“Laid back atmosphere on board Marylou. Captain Peter very helpful. Bar and hot drinks are self-service with an honesty book. Wonderful to just sit on the boat watching the river go by. Nice walk around town, just step off the boat and turn left. Lubeck is a busy town but the centre has suffered following air-raids on the town (i.e. unsympathetic building replacement). Nevertheless a nice place. But the boat is the top attraction. Peter, Dokkum was wonderful!”

“The evening meal especially the mulberry desert was excellent. The mulberries are picked from a tree opposite the hotel. Amazing story to this. Plenty of space to leave the bike safely overnight. Our room was massive, a suite with quirky details”
