“I had a train to catch the next day, so this hotel was selected for its proximity to Gare de Lyon (and it’s only a short walk in the opposite direction to Place de la Bastille). Courteous and efficient staff at check-in/check-out. Reasonably-priced room perfectly adequate for one night and which didn’t appear to have been re-decorated since the late 1960s (which I rather liked as it made me feel like I was in an Alain Delon movie). Room was facing the Rue de Lyon, but street noise wasn’t an issue. Would stay again if the price was right.”
