“I really liked the atmosphere of this place - the old furniture and decor, the wallpaint. Lovely! Staff was very nice to us too, even though we checked in at about 9:45 pm. I appreciate the possibility to park the car in the hotel garage and to be able leave it there for the day even after check-out with no extra cost. (I'm aware this wouldn't have been possible, were there other guests arriving by car on that day, but still.) The hotel has a perfect location, it's a 15-minute walk right into the city centre or a 5-minute tram ride from the corner of the street. The breakfast was great!”
“Ambiance of hotel, comfort of room. Breakfast very good. Price reasonable.”
“The hotel is in a nice location which has the possibility to park, also the decoration and interior is tasteful(classic). The room is just beautiful! The stuff was really helpful and friendly, they were really trying to make me feel comfortable and welcome. The breakfast is acceptable, the WIFI is good enough.”
“Hall and dining rooms are awesomeNext to tram stop, walking distance to centerExcellent breakfast Staff is welcomingGood value for price”
“The staff was really friendly. We were offered a free welcome drink upon arrival and received a free upgrade to a deluxe room! The atmosphere is great and our room was huge! It felt like residing in an old Château. Breakfast was perfect.”
“Everything was just extremely nice, fire place with welcome hot drink on the beginning, nicely renovated building, and good choice on breakfast.”
“Very warm welcome from the owner. Coffee/tea and biscuits by the fire on arrival. Staff very friendly and helpful with local information. This hotel is full of character and charm. It certainly lives up to its name. We will definitely use this hotel again when we return to Ghent.”
“It is a charming hotel in a beautiful city. Old world elegance with modern conveniences.”
“Bohemian elegance 5 mins walk away from the centre of town. Service excellent - run by man/wife team. Old vintage building with original features but still very comfortable. Ghent is a much more approachable town than Bruges (too touristy and chocolate box-like) and although just as beautiful it still has the soul of a city with working people living in it.”
“Beautiful maintained old mansion, Art Deco style hotel.”
