“This hotel was awesome! It was a true escape from our every day lives. Even though the accommodations are very basic, it is wonderful because of the staff, the location, and the fact that it forces you to drop your electronic devices for a minute. There is no wifi, no TV. You have to share a bathroom. The staff were so friendly-- we arrived late and they kept the kitchen open so we could have dinner. Our table was reserved in the morning for breakfast. It was the perfect place to begin a day of hiking-- and the view of the mountains all around in unparalleled! We wanted an authentic, off-the-beaten path experience, and the Schwartzwaldalp was perfect. We will definitely be going back as we adventure even farther up into the mountains!”
