“Room rather larger than expected, clean, good furniture, comfortable bed. Has elevator. Very quiet, with garden view from the window. Great location close to the Basilica (even though this means one has to use the funicular to go to the city centre and come back - funicular works until midnight - or otherwise climb uphills for ~20 min from closest metro station: Vieux Lyon). Not many restaurants around but there are many close to Vieux Lyon station.”

“In Lyon it's a decent price to have a private room with your own bathroom. The funiculaire stops at 10pm, so if you plan to be out after that it's not ideally located, but it suited me fine. Great views of the city every morning/evening.”

“Perfect view! Gallo-Romano exactely in front of the window! Just several steps from Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière! The lights of the city in the night! All the city spread before the eyes!”

“The price is excellent for a hotel near the centre of town. It is perfectly placed to visit the basilica (only 3 minutes walking) and to go into the old town the funiculaire is at the basilica if you want to take the easy way up. The staff were very friendly. The parking is on the road or in the carpark facing the hotel and is free at all times, which is amazing for a big city centre. We easily found a parking space in the carpark facing the hotel so only had to walk about 20 metres. The old town was great with a large choice of restaurants providing local produce at reasonable prices which was much better then the modern town which has little to recommend it , except for the magnificent church at St Martin d'Ainay which is well worth a visit. WiFi was excellent and free. Easy access at all times with door codes in the late evening and during the night. No noise either.”

“It is in a fantastic position with amazing views across the city, right next to the fenicula railway, the amazing Cathedral and the roman amphitheatre. The railway is cheap and runs every 5 mins right into the centre of the old city, which is the best bit of Lyon. Lovely room, within a conference facility.”
