“Our first room was unbearably hot and impossible to cool down without turning off all heating, turning on a plug in fan and keeping door open all the time (room 61). We reported this to staff and were moved, without any problem to room 101 which was lovely (I wonder if room 61 often causes this problem and if room 101 is kept especially for people like us!!! Ref George Orwell's 1984!)”

“As others have stated. We were offered an upgrade to the windowless basement room (£37) for £20 for a seaview (side of hotel) which was nice. Although it seems like a bit of a marketing ploy. It looks scummy as from the outside but is a pleasant surprise inside. We were in the west side which had nice box sash windows and a pleasant enough bathroom.”
