“The welcome at the hotel was very friendly and our room was very comfortable although I had hoped we might get the Mamma Mia room which would have been fun. We didn't have the breakfast in the hotel as Madrid is an excellent place to eat out for breakfast and as it happens there is an excellent cafe/bakery right next door. The biggest advantage of the hotel is its location, only a few minutes walk from the most important sites in the city and some of the best places to eat. There was a 5 minute power cut while we were in the bathroom one morning, with no windows the bathroom was in total darkness which was fun, but it was only a short problem. The quirky decor in the hotel is a particular attraction for us. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and we will definitely stay there again on our next visit to Madrid.”
