Limited choice but good food. An elderly couple runs the hotel that is adjacent to an old castle, very nice people and lots of old furniture and antiques.”

“This is one of the loveliest places we have ever stayed, either in Italy or elsewhere. The spacious room with a furnished terrace and view over the hills was beautifully decorated with every thoughtful addition including cups, glasses, plates, cutlery, a refrigerator, kettle, toaster and microwave. It had its own (well working!) fireplace with little armchairs and a table. We were left a large box of wood and firelighters. A great Italian breakfast was brought to us (warm bread and rolls, home-made jam, cheese and ham, coffee in a thermos) and they catered even for non gluten requirements. There was local wine and cookies to greet us - all in all, perfect touches to perfect and courteous hospitality. We were thrilled.”
“The owners are wonderful , friendly and inviting. The whole castlo is very well kept , the gardens immaculate. Puzzi the owner is everywhere, morning and night. She is proud of her family's history and gives tours of the castelo, and knows the history very well. The place came highly recommended and lived up to everything.”
