“Nice Place to stay, clean, well designed typical Tuscany style. Secure entrance to the hotel area, spacious parking place, delicious breakfast coffee (Staff make you fresh coffee on demand grinding coffee beans). Very friendly staff (reception, breakfast staff, guy who repaired our safe...). We used to go for whole day trips every morning. The Calamidoro Hotel was only Bed and Breakfast for us.”
“Nice decoration, big room, fine little pool area, restaurant options, friendly reception and staff”
“We found the staff very friendly and extremely helpful the hotel was very comfortable and clean,”
“Good access to Fi-Pi-Li road and central location for trips into various directions (Pisa, Firenze, Siena, Seaside). Nice suite, very comfortable temerature without aircon while over 30 degress outside. Great parking, partly shadowed. Cheap American restaurant nearby and reasonable food (try steak salad). Access for large pool in neighboring hotel. Smaller pool in Calamidoro also nice, much more quiet. Hotel in general well mainatined and clean.”
“A very relaxing place to stay ,used hotel as last night stay in Italy before flying home . Had a great relax by pool and lovely meal in nearby restaurants. Quiet resort friendly staff Good breakfast in the morning All in all a good place to stay for airport 25 mins away and close to Pisa lucca and Florence.”
“Unexpected peaceful setting just off the main road with lovely landscaped areas and immaculate surrounds. The hotel and staff were great.”
“Excellent facilities, large rooms, and friendly staff. We received excellent suggestion for restaurants in the area. The hotel assistant manager Katia told us about all the good places to eat in the area, and they were all outstanding. Brerathtaking entrance drive by the lake and golf driving range. Close to the Vespa Museum and Andrea Bocelli's Theatre of Silence.”
“We found the directions to the hotel totally inadequate, and had great difficulty locating it from the address provided. This is because it is in a commercial area in Calcinaia. Fronting onto the road is the Boccaccio Hotel, drive into this location which has all the restaurant options, the Calamidor is round the back and not at all obviously visible. It is reached through a closed gate, with intercom, and up a private drive.”
“It is very easy to find the place. We came from the concert at 2 am, and you should not take the mountain road as for the most places in this area. Nice small pool.”
“Lovely friendly staff in a beautiful authentically Tuscan building with all the amenities required including Internet for our 15 year old. After a stressful work environment this was just what we needed to relax and unwind! Superb! Will definitely be returning! Thank you!”
