“Beautiful hotel in a residential location. It's a great place save some money by making it your home base while exploring the Lake District if you have a car, but there is not a lot around. The hotel and its wonderful bakery are family owned and run, which makes for a lovely atmosphere. The breakfast was included with our stay, and was great. The bakery is wonderful, and the ladies are super friendly! The spa can be booked for a separate fee, but you have it to yourself.”

“The C Hotel & Spa is a striking building with many nice design details, unfortunately many of them end up being form over function. The spa is beautiful and whilst normally an extra cost (which we wouldn't have paid at 19€ per person per hr) we experienced it for a much reduced rate. The staff were fantastic, always friendly and knowledgable about the area, also suggesting some good cycling routes! It felt as it is, a family run business, which made for a nice atmosphere around the hotel. The family bakery onsite is lovely and again very friendly staff. The onsite car park was superb and we had no worries leaving our bikes on the roof of the car over night. Breakfast was included for us and this was served at the table on trays, a nice concept albeit a little repetitive after 3 days.”
