“A very well run hotel where nothing is too much trouble”
“We were upgraded to a ‘signature’ room which was marvellous, especially the bathroom which may have been recently refurbished. All staff were excellent. Restaurant food delicious.”
“The staff were lovely, great ambience, warm, comfortable with a touch of luxury. Fresh coffee, really comfortable beds, wonderful food, timeless atmosphere.”
“Have been before all fabulous food comfort area for gardens and walk”
“None of the above describe the property's style as it's a traditional country hotel. Luxury would be inappropriate by today's standards, neither is it a boutique, modern or design hotel. Instead it's comfortable, slightly quirky and very English as well as having beautiful grounds, excellent facilities such as the pool, golf course (so I'm told) and croquet lawn available to guests. These are the qualities we enjoyed, please don't change it!”
“Breakfast was fantastic, The selection was very good, attentive staff made the start of the day very agreeable.”
“Super room (in the extension- probably recently refurbished) and well kept grounds. Lovely location and very peaceful.”
“We arrived and got upgraded which is always a bonus. The room was perfect it was one of their newly decorated rooms, we had amazing views over the golf course. The food was brilliant and the service just as good. I would recommend Budock Vean to my friends and family quite happily.”
“Location was great. Nice spacious building and with a good refurbishment, some money spent and an update to the service style, it could be lovely.”
“Staff very friendly, food excellent, Bar service very good. Acceptance of pets very good they even provided dog blanket and bowl in our room. But what I did find pretty amazing was the extent of the 65 Acre grounds, well landscaped and leading down to the River Estuary , where Kayaking or Boat trips could be had, I can't vouch for the Golf course as I'm not a Golfer. My only very minor complaint is that the same Piano player playing during the evening meal became a bit monotonous”
