“This is a real resort hotel with all the niceties one could wish for in that category: private and public Onsen; lovely views; gracious public spaces; attractive and comfortable rooms, and a sumptuous dinner with all manner of delicacies included in a very fair price. Would you believe our initial greeter gave us a half hour tour of the place, shuttled us to and from the train and insisted upon carrying our luggage up the station steps! The best service we've had in a country in which service (uncompensated by tips) is all.”

“This hotel is a surprise to me considering the price it takes. Our room has a view of courtyard, which is delicately decorated. Much better than I have imagined. Although the hotel appears near to the Matsushima-kaigan Station on the map, guests have to climb up to the hotel along the hill road. But the shuttle bus solves all the puzzle and staffs are very enthusiastic.”
