“I stayed at the Hotel Belvedere on a weeknight in October. My room opened on the lake, with a balcony. This was so romantic that I truly wished the wife had been here to enjoy it with me. In the morning it was raining and waves were blowing on Lago Maggiore. Still romantic, but if you are here in the autumn be prepared for possible bluster. Room was romantic and clean and met (but did not exceed) 3-star standards. Highly recommended if you have the taste for this kind of thing.”
