“This is a small boutique hotel with a total of 8 rooms on the second floor. The picture of the hotel on the web site is a bit misleading. This is by no means a luxury hotel, but well worth the stay. Our room was large, clean and very nice. Staff spoke English and were friendly and responsive. Outside the door are several restaurants and coffee shops and a large park with fun stuff going on (in the summer). Baiterek Tower is one block away. It's very safe. Plan to have a large breakfast. They give 4 options including omelets, boiled eggs, fruit, bread, rolls and a hot cereal. They even did our laundry - for free! Included with the room. We just loved it and would return.”

“The staff was fantastic - good English, extra helpful, very responsive to messages sent through booking.com. They did laundry for free!!! They knocked on the door in the evening to deliver an evening snack of muffins and hot water for tea. They always helped arrange taxis quickly and told us the fair price that we should pay, and we never had a problem with any driver. The location is absolutely fantastic, with the singing fountains right in front of the hotel and Astana's biggest landmark, Bayterek Tower just 4 minutes walk from the hotel. Keruen Mall is closeby, which has a great food court with fast food and good restaurants (try Del Papa). The room was spacious and the breakfast generous. It's a short walk to see the Presidential Palace and only a $2 taxi ride to get to the National Museum or the big white mosque. Public buses stop nearby also, and are very cheap (about US 30 cents). We loved Astana, and staying at Belon-Lux was a major reason why!”
