“This hotel was great to stay in. I was only staying one night overnight for business. It was easy to find, staff were friendly and everything in the room was great. There is free wifi available throughout and a nice pub 30 seconds walk away. Breakfast was lovely with a great selection available, I even noticed they had gluten free options if that's something you need.”

“Exceptional staff - friendly, helpful, smiling. Very good and tasty breakfast, good options, great service. Convenient location next to the tiny station - no noise heard from the rooms but handy and cheap (compared to a taxi) connection to New Forests towns and villages. Pony auction just across the road was a good fun.”
“The location of the hotel is stunning. It was ideal for the motor museum which was the main reason for visiting but there is a lot that could be accessed in a very short drive time. the rooms are comfortable. ours was room 36 it backs onto a field and the railway line runs past the back but it was not very busy with trains and we didn't notice them in the night. the swimming pool is small but nice to have a float about in. we had our evening meals in Lyndhurst which is about 5 mins drive away but the car park in the Centre is free after 6pm and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. there was a wedding on the Saturday night but this did not affect us.”
“The staff were so friendly and really put us at ease as we have never taken our dogs away with us before. Breakfast was delicious, poached eggs were cooked to perfection. Having direct access to the Forest was fantastic for the dogs as it meant we didn't have to put them in the car to take them out walking. We enjoyed our stay so much we hope to be back early next year. Room was large enough for the dogs cage as well so it meant they settled well.”
