“Seeing the ocean is lovely. The hotel is a 20 min bus ride from JR Yonago Station (¥290 runs from Stop 3 every 20 mins). The cotton kimonos that you self select for your stay makes the experience feel more personalized - a nice touch. Hotel was very popular with group tour buses- and local travellers - visiting for the 'multi onsen' experience.”
“Everything comes in order and the life there is simply easy & relaxing.”
“A very nice, modern hotel a little bit off the usual route for foreign tourists visiting Japan. The staff was friendly and helpful but overall the town felt a bit more reserved than the bigger cities like Tokyo and Kyoto. The hotel is very clean and well maintained and the main attraction, the onsen, is excellent. The restaurants were good but both allow smoking. Excellent value for money. Access by taxi from Yonago takes about 15-20 minutes and cost under 2000 yen.”
“Very helpful reception staff, beautiful room, perfect location”
“The hotel was in a great place, right across from the train station/local bus. It was clean, well-maintained. The staff was eager and helpful.”
“Free parking & hot spring, the building is just next to the seaside.”
“Nice sea view and a good walking path along the seahore.”
“The sound of the ocean, walking along the boardwalk, room was very serene and meditative. Onsen was EXCELLENT!!!”
“The spa was very comfortable and relaxing, hot but not uncomfortably hot.”
“An army of cleaners cleans thoroughly your room every day. The staff is super kind! The view of the beach from the rooms is wonderful, not only on sunny days. The onsen with inside and outside pools is great. The restaurant left of the entrance of the hotel serves excellent fish food . Kaike Onsen is a good starting point for a lot of excursions by bus and train (from nearby Yonago) to Matsue, to the Flower prefectoral gardens, the Oki islands, etc.”
