“We love this hotel and have stayed before. This time we came with friends and were given two enormous suites. Ours even came with its own back garden. Love the rustic features of the buildings. Food in the restaurant was superb as was the breakfast. And where else do you get a boiled egg with a smiley face and its own hand knitted wooley hat?”

“The Manger/owners were very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant was good and food beautifully cooked. Breakfast was in a converted barn and was plentiful and freshly prepared. Breakfast could also be taken outside in a courtyard but the weather was not good for our stay so, sadly, we weren't able to do this.”

“This is hospitality at its finest, the owners and staff are all so helpful and friendly. All areas of hotel are very comfortable and spotless. The dinners we were served were absolutely delicious and the breakfast buffet was first class with the addition of freshly prepared hot food. Cannot praise this hotel enough.”

“The proprietors, Maria and Sebastian, take a personal interest in their customers. A warm and friendly hotel with lovely breakfast(look out for the artistic boiled eggs!) and evening meals; only 25 minutes from Hahn Airport. I really enjoyed the Christmas Market, the Living Nativity Crib, the forest walks, the historic Castle and Town Museum(excellent lady guide with very good English) and the 30 km Greenway along the old railway line.”

“The location was ideal for us. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom had all the extras you would need - some better than a large hotel with the comfort kit. Breakfast was great and the staff even cooked made to order eggs. We also ate dinner there the night before and it was excellent - too bad that they were out of the pumpkin soup... It is right next too the original church and castle of Kastellaun and it is worth taking a look around.”
