“Great location, close to Haymarket train station . Beautiful decor. Friendly staff.”
“The whole of our stay was amazing from booking in to checking out. The staff are lovely and very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and restaurants. The view from the window of Dean Village was amazing and we visited the next day - worth a visit. The room was very warm and welcoming (stayed in room number 5) and it had everything we needed and more and was also spotless. It had the wow factor for us especially the bath in the room. The building is amazing too and very tastefully decorated. The breakfast was good with plenty variety. Would recommend a stay and we are looking forward to our next visit.”
“-Beautiful building and stunning view...we happened to be at the property for Bonfire night and could see fireworks over Edinburgh from the luxury of our room -Breakfast was good quality -Staff were very friendly -Property is in a nice location -The room size is very generous”
“Appreciated fresh take a way coffee and yogurt as part of packed breakfast.”
“A warm welcome at the B&B and the place itself is beautiful, with a lovely sitting area and library for relaxing and reading. They also had a bar, which I didn't use on this occasion but looked like a good area to sit. The location was excellent and was easy to get into the city centre, approx 10 min walk to the edge of Princes Street. A good area to be in and as a solo female traveller, I felt safe coming back to in the evening.”
“Very close walk to the city centre. Lovely quiet neighbour with beautiful surrounding buildings. Very helpful staff. Amazing views over Edinburgh . We had room 15 on the 4th floor. Breakfast was really nice too. Room was bright, very clean and a good size too. I would recommend a stay here.”
“Friendly, welcoming staff. Great breakfast with lots of choice. Teas, coffee, hot chocolate, water and biscuits on offer any time of day or night. Great location for walking into the city centre - very safe feel. Lovely decor.”
“Very nice building and good atmosphere. At check-in the receptionist gave us the key for a room in the basament, room was nice but there was a terrible smell for the humidity and the carpet. The mattress in this room was broken so we asked for a new room. They ware so kind and changed the room with another one on the top floor, this time a very big room with nice city view. The hotel has a very nice bar and library where you can taste a good Scottish whisky. Breakfast is good, they have continental breakfast at buffet and also a lot of good hot dishes. Just, I would like to suggest to say at the waiter to have a look at the buffet anytime and add bread, yogurt and fruit if are finished. Often buffet was empty and no-one fill up.”
“This B&B is stunning. The rooms are brand new, luxurious, and super clean, the staff was super welcoming and always around to help with any questions, and the breakfast was fantastic. It's also within walking distance of all the major attractions, which I appreciated because I love seeing a city on foot.”
“The building was very interesting and beautiful with it's rich history and library, perfect for Harry Potter fans ;). The breakfast room was really nice and the waiter at breakfast was very friendly but the receptionist was outstanding. She helped us out a lot with recommendations in the city and she was super friendly and helpful when we asked her to separate the beds in the room, since we booked a twin room. All the facilities were good and we would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone we know.”
