“The staff were very friendly and very helpful, especially Diana who spoke English well. Always received a nice welcome back. Check in very efficient. Booked a larger room, (room 13) which happened to faces the courtyard, 3 windows gave good light,. The bed was comfortable, although a choice of pillow height would be good. As no kettle in room, we were brought pot of hot water and tea, milk on request which was just wonderful. Nice to experience usual Russian life in this old area. Little shop around corner sells perishables. Restaurants close by were good and would find someone who spoke English. Wifi excellent. Although can be difficult to find, ask hotel beforehand for directions in both English and Russian. Safe in room, though small. Has frig.”

“We enjoyed the location of this small hotel in the city centre but still quite (due to location within a backyard) and the possibility to park the car for free. (However if you do not have car, the way to next metro station is rather long - a bit more than 1 km). The room (bed room plus small living room) was nice and clean. WiFi was available for free.”

“I was pleased that their queen sized bed had a single mattress, instead of the usual Euro-divided mattress. In the included breakfast: the coffee was good and strong; soft boiled eggs were only a little over cooked; and the wheat toast was a welcome surprise; but the breakfast sausages were essentially hot dogs ... without mustard.”
