“The Grand was the perfect base for a trip to Alaska. It is excellently located in the centre of things. One block from the Hilton and a fraction of the price. We were able to leave our main suitcases there while travelling North to Denali and Fairbanks. We then had one night before training to the Kenai peninsula. Both the train station and Egan Center for the bus to Denali are 5 minutes walk away as are the good restaurants and museum in Anchorage. The limited staff were welcoming and helpful, the rooms (apartments) spacious and comfortable with wifi, phones and washing facilities available. Cookies and apples were also available free at reception. Breakfast was limited but all that was needed given all the other eating opportunities in Alaska. Overall it was a great find”
“The location was perfect. We came into Anchorage from Seward on the Alaska Train. The hotel was less than a block away from the Anchorage train station. We left on the train for Denali 2 days later but came back to the hotel on out last day before flying home from the Anchorage airport.”

“The hotel room was clean and the pillowtop mattress was luxurious and comfortably. Parking is just a few steps away and FREE. We were within easy walking distance to everything downtown, which is lots of restaurants and the weekend festival. Also loved having a full kitchen, we made a couple of meals and had cold drinks in our room.”
