“I liked the neighborhood, lots of galleries and some small restaurants. I loved the sausage restaurant/beer garden right across the street. Sausages/fries were delicious and a variety of German and Belgian beers on tap. Its a bit out of the way and I walked from there to the LA convention center in a hour. I would definitely come back. As is San Francisco, LA is experiencing serious lack of affordable housing, and you will see it in homeless encampments that break your heart. Other hotels, closer to downtown are super expensive, and this was a great middle ground. The bed was comfortable. There was an easy to use safe in the room (left my computer there when I was at my conference). Bathrooms were clean and not crowded. You are near the Broad and may need advanced tickets depending on the exhibit. I would definitely return.”
