What guests loved the most

“Atmosphere and age. Lovely wall decoration on the Rose room where we stayed”

, United Kingdom

“We didn't have breakfast as we had a early ferry”

, United Kingdom

“The location- the fact that the rooms were within the Abbye itself”

, United Kingdom

“The peace and tranquility. The history of the place. It's special and unique. The breakfast selection was superb. Fantastic value for a special experience in a historic building.”

, United Kingdom

“It was very grand. We were late arriving and so staff left our key in a tiny box, that we had to find and unlock with a code, very Agatha Christie! We saw no one in the abby at all except a german family who were also staying one night. We stayed in the rose room, very pretty but very spooky too! This place is huge, and very quiet, we felt we had the place to ourselves. The German guy said to my husband " Isn't it strange...tonight we are your ghosts!"”

, United Kingdom

“Great atmosphere at the Abbey; a real sense of history.”

, United Kingdom

“The room was as you might expect fairly basic but not stark as in monastery but the garden view from my room amply compensated. The breakfast was a bit dull and serve yourself the second morning. The people in reception were very helpful including Sara who undertook the guided tour.”

, United Kingdom

“Strange staying in a place where you never meet the staff. However it was beautiful and comfortable and within walking distance of a lovely restaurant.”

, France

“Lovely old abbey- very quirky! Lovely setting aswell. Great for the dog- he could even go in the breakfast room. Would stay here again.”

, United Kingdom
