Spa was a bit of a let down, the spa is not very big, and the treatments were not to the standard they charged, but it was still a nice treat. The hotel itself was wonderful. Beautifully decorated. Lovely views in the dining room and tasty food. Very convenient for the coal mining museum and plenty of parking. ”

“I'd just like to mention a little generous touch that the hotel did to make my stay extra special, it's only a tiny thing but meant a lot to me. They placed a small Temple Spa room/body spray in the room with a written invitation to use it, it smelt amazing, it was to aid sleep & relaxation, it would cost around £10 from Temple Spa so it's not a cheap option for the hotel & a lot of places wouldn't go to the extra expensive, it made all the difference for me though, it's touches like this that would make me want to return again & again & oh the wonderful breakfast venue, in a conservatory type of space overlooking the grounds. Gorgeous laid back Yorkshire place, loved it 😍😍😍”
