“We booked at Hotel Konigstein but were accommodated in Hotel Bastei; didn't have experience with either hotel so may not have made a difference. Staff at reception was helpful, patience, and polite - a big asset for a hotel. Hotel is in central location for public transport, incl. access to airport. The bedding was comfortable and offered reasonable sleep. The bottle of water which is normally provided with compliments was charged (at Euro 4+). Was not impressed with the advertised 'free wifi' turning out to be only one hour free WiFi and thereafter to be paid for. Free WiFi is now very normal in hotels. Furthermore, the wifi at this hotel was very slow so of minimum practical use and thus even more unsatisfactory added to only one hour at no charge.”
