Wonderful, flavoursome, varied and healthy food made on site by the talented Fatima and her friendly Team. Dede manages the operation with flair, warmth and professionalism - this sea-fronted retreat was an amazing find in Ilha Grande and one that I wish I could go back to every time the need for calm, tranquility and the feeling of being looked after rears its head.”

It really is a paradise, placed in a really exclusive and quiet area close to Lagoa Azul (we had the chance to go there by kayak in the morning with nearly no tourists, which was a wonderful experience). The posada is really beautiful, surrounded by nature, with a nice beach and good breakfast/dinner. Martin was super helpful. We wouldn't doubt to return!”

“Ilha Grande can be surprisingly busy at weekends. To escape take a boat and stay at Estrela, which is really peaceful. Right on its own beach and backing into the jungle, the place is beautiful and a great place to unwind for a few days.”
