“A remote facility in a very quiet village with no bars and restaurants, but that is what a Parador is. You had to drive anywhere or eat on the premises. We did day trips so that wasn't an issue as we ate amazing food in the cities and towns we visited and then bought bread, cheese and wine to have back at the hotel. We did visit a pub in a nearby village a 5 minute drive away. Our expectations of the food were high but the experience disappointing. Staff very helpful, very clean and comfortable and a beautiful remote location.”
“Elegant, well-appointed hotel with helpful staff. Comfortable, clean room. Very good restaurant with plenty of choice. Excellent buffet breakfast. Lovely location with scenic countryside views.”
“Convenient quiet location and a short drive to Santander Ferry”
“Room quiet despite presence of a large wedding party.”
“No central heating. Dirty, rusty bath & basin water. Duvet smaller than the bed. Curtains hanging off runners. Noisy. Uncooked bacon & eggs, no access to tea or coffee, staff had to bring it later.”
“It lived up to our expectations. The views were incredible.”
“This hotel lives up to the high standard of Paradores Espana. The hotel is very well appointed and spacious rooms are bright and modern. The restaurant - in the original, historic part of the building - has a good atmosphere and the food was excellent and very good value. The hotel is within reasonavble driving distance of La Rioja region. Nearby is a great country park include the large reservoiur/lake, Lake Ganboa: well worth a visit. Staff are very firendly, helpful and well trained; maintaingin the standards expected of a Parador.”
“Just everything. Especially the friendliness and efficiency of staff and the food- superb. Would/will go back”
“Convenient location. Very impressive array at breakfast.”
“Pleasant room with a good view - nice restaurant setting for both dinner and breakfast. The Parador at Argomaniz was a convenient stopover point for us on our journey.”
