“Nicely renovated chateau with good hiking possibilities through the grape fields and champagne houses. We did some degustation at Breton & Fils in Congy (1h hike) and bought some bottles before driving home.”
“Chateau d'Etoges is a unique blend of fantastic historical environment and building, cosy family atmosphere and a great restaurant.”
“Rooms in the Orangerie were quite pleasant, with a comfortable bed & good crisp sheets. Property & grounds are very pretty. Staff at both reception & in the restaurant are friendly & efficient & most of them speak good English.”
“we were upgraded, the room was quiet and out of the way but we liked that.”
“We love etoges its very romantic quite and most superb setting. we walked round the village nice church wonderfull boulangrie and found the local bar which dated back to 1066 it had amazing log fire well worth a visit.”
“The place was amazing. Everything was wonderful. The feel of the hotel made you feel that you were in a period Chateau. The dinner in L'Orangerie was unbelievable. We went with the set menu and every course was excellent. I have never seen a cheese course served with so many different cheeses. There must have been 30 - 40 cheeses to pick from!”
“The accommodation , staff and ambiance were good. Food in the Orangery was good and well presented but a little pricey, more imaginary set menu would have been appreciated, choice very limited”
“The food was very good and we had a really comfortable room.”
“Lovely decor but one room of two we booked was quite a bit smaller than the other.”
“Service was wonderful - arrived later than planned and were warmly welcomed. Dinner was extraordinary - nothing was too much trouble and the food was perfection.”
