“Lovely family-run hotel in the Lot region, near the famous Grotte du Merle. Looks a bit disheveled and outdated, but the family room we took (located in the adjacent building) was excellent. Beds were superb, perfect for an overnight stay if you want to visit the region, or like us, traveled south. Go and eat in the restaurant for dinner, we enjoyed excellent food on the terrace overlooking the river. Kids liked the pool. Breakfast cheap and supplied from regional resources.”
“Stayed here over 20 years ago and always wanted to come back and it was every bit as charming. Now run by a younger generation of the family and very relaxed, tranquil with nice swimming pool, super restaurant food and excellent breakfast. My room was a little dated but apparently they are being refurbished - so I will be back again I hope.”
