“Fell asleep with the sound of the river next to my bedroom. Wonderfully quiet and calm. Restaurant superb, with extremely kind staff. I was a solo female traveller and I felt the staff really did care about your experience there. . I arrived by taxi and walked into Conques both days to spend my time walking around the surrounding countryside. Coming back to the moulin was blissful.”

“The hotel was very comfortable and included a lovely pool which was ideal after a long car journey. We also enjoyed an ultra gourmet meal à la nouvelle cuisine in the hotel restaurant. We are not such gourmet diners, as a rule, and were wowed by the delicious and unique 7 course meal. Dominique, the sommelier and hostess, wife of the chef, was very cordial and welcoming. Although we only stayed one night, we would consider staying there again, though the price was not really in our budget. The hotel was a few miles away from our tourist destination, the medieval city of Conques, a site on the Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage trail, which was fascinating and very worthwhile and which we highly recommend. Wear good walking shoes as the cobblestones are uneven. All in all, a fabulous stay.”

She also helped us book a table for dinner at their 1 star Michelin restaurant Herve Busset. The food was amazing and selections were divine. We're from Manhattan and we really love how creative chef Busset's dishes were. We love the sound of the river flowing; we got the room facing the water and we had the most relaxing sleep!”
