“This hotel is old and the rooms are from another time. One of our party described it as 'shabby genteel'. That said the room was clean and comfortable, the staff were excellent and the breakfast was good. The location was very convenient.”
“The hotel was very easy to find, right across the main railway station. The receptionists were very friendly and allowed me to check in as early as 10 AM. Elevator present. Since it was a bit chilly outside, I was very happy that I was able to regulate the room temperature myself. The room was also quiet enough, despite the location and the many guests. Extra points for the water boiler and coffee, tea and even biscuits in the room.”
“+ I really appreciated the staff members that were very kind and polite - their kindness made my days better and succeeded in attenuating the main inconvenient of the WiFi that was not working while I lived there. + convenient location next to the main railway station and close to the pedestrian area of the city centre + there was a kettle in the room + a large desk + comfortable bed + additional blankets + the possibility to adjust the temperature + large windows”
“Great customer service with all the ladies in the reception being knowledgeable and willing to answer any inquiries the guest had. The proximity to the train station (approx. 1' walk) and to the center, cathedral, Gutenberg square, shopping district (approx. 10' walk) are huge advantages for the hotel's location.”
“The location is very good because it is outside central station, but the hotel needs renovation.Looks old also the rooms need to renovate but the most importand is that the rooms were clean. For our trip was ok because we needed just a hotel to sleep.”
“The staff was almost amazing - ready to help and satisfy all our needs. On the first day we arrived late, when all the shops were closed. We were looking for some yoghurts and the hotel staff was so kind to provide them. We had nice time in Strasbourg, but left for other cities as well. On the way back home, we had to return to Strasbourg to take a train to Paris. We had 6 hours before the train departure and wanted to leave the baggage at the train station. The luggage- lockers at the train station were closed and we asked the staff members of Nid de Cigognes whether they can help us. They checked that we were guests at the hotel on the days mentioned and agreed to store our luggage free of charge for ceveral hours. It was so nice of them.”
“Perfect location: in front of the main railway station. The hotel is clean and comfortable. Highly recommended!”
“Walking distance from main attractions, located directly opposite the main Train station. Staff was very welcoming and helpful.”
“Easy access to transport. Just walking distance to rent car or bicycle. Many restaurants nearby.”
“We were visiting Strasbourg for two days with family of six. We were given two adjacent rooms. The staff was friendly and knew English quite well. The rooms were big, clean and very nice. The location was superb. Just 2 minutes walk from the old city with its views and attraction. There are excellent restaurant meters away from the hotel and if you with childrens - MacDonald are 20 meters away.”
