“The hotel is traditional and nice and offers amazing breakfast. The village is very peaceful and there are plenty of restaurant opportunities in town. The hotel is located near the walking trails leading into the woods. If you are looking for some peace and quiet, at the edge of nature, this is the place to be. The owners are very friendly and the hotel is very budget friendly.Don't forget to bring your swimsuit.”

“The area was very isolated and quite there was not asound to be heard at night time ,the views and wild life was fantatic ,For this time of year you need to make arangement to eat early as most restarants close at 8pm.”

“Property was easy to reach, even when arriving with public transport. Room was big and comfortable, plenty of storage space, lovely big balcony, nice big twin beds, breakfast was great, good choices and the serving plates were never empty. Pool was great, extra towels available for the pool, and they smelled lovely. Host was always friendly, cheerful and very helpful. ”

“The property had changed hands since we booked and although very old fashioned the rooms were clean. It was obvious that work was being done to improve all areas with new furniture etc. I think if we were to go next year we would find a big difference. That said there was absolutely nothing we could complain about - all was clean and tidy and breakfast excellent. The swimming pool and sauna were an added bonus.”

“This hotel was super cosy for two nights! I went there with a group of friends, for new year! The hotel is very well located as the German village is a very small one! The room was clean, with towells and one sample of body wash and shampoo. The host was super friendly and even organized a private party for New Year just for us (we were 10 guests from the Hotel at the end but it was a kind attention!). There is swimming pool, big enough to swim a bit (and you need to swim because the water was rather cold) and a small sauna! The breakfast was nice as well, tea/coffee, ham/cheese, all kind of breads, vegetables, eggs, apples, Berliner etc. Great one!”

“Great value. Nice, quiet location in the Black Forest. We booked a few hours before arrival (breaking a long journey) and they had our booking etc when we turned up. Friendly staff. Nice room with balcony. Bathroom was a bit dated but very clean, nice toiletries and good strong, warm shower. Swimming pool and sauna were good. Relaxed atmosphere. Excellent buffet breakfast. We were worried that there wouldn't be anywhere to eat in a small place but found a very nice meal at the Hotel Hirsch. Would definitely stay here again if we found ourselves in the area.”
