“Very friendly and helpful staff. They speak English (it's not that obvious in Spain). Good breakfast, almost like in central/eastern Europe hotels. Very nice balcony on the roof. Quiet, calm place. Good location (if you have a car) - close to La Manga beaches and city of Kartagena. A little bit strange neighborhood (beach with dark sand, mountains with abandoned mining buildings) makes it in fact even more interesting.”
“Portman hotel is a little jewel. From the moment we walked in the staff has been exceptional. Carmen the receptionist was so friendly and helpful. She made us feel like family. We so like the place we decided to extend our stay by one day. Our second day here Francisco (Paco) made us also feel very welcome. Maria the cleaning lady also made us feel very welcome and willing to help in anyway possible. Should we be lucky enough to return to Spain I will definitely come back to Portman Hotel. They definitely know how to make a person feel welcome.”
