“We could not have loved our stay more. The hotel is beautiful and the views are even better. The beer garden out back with the kids' playground was perfect for us with our two small children. The family room was actually 2 rooms with a connecting door which gave my husband and I privacy after the kids went to bed. Breakfast was fantastic. It was an easy drive into Innsbruck. I highly recommend staying here!”

“Amazing view into the Alps across the Brenner pass. If you can get the rooms that open onto the roof balcony you can enjoy a spectacular view. Sad to say it rained on the two days we visited but we have stayed there in the past and enjoyed the view. Food an ambiance are wonderful. In good weather can dine on the back lawn with an amazing view.”

“Fantastic location in the middle of the Tirolean Alps. Close to the city of Innsbruck and to a great number of good hiking trails. The hotel is located just perfect with stunning views of the mountains and we can really recommend that you book a room with mountain view. If you are into birding you'll find that a variety of birds of prey are hunting just outside the Hotel, virtually every day. The owners are very nice and helpful with anything you'll need to know about activities in the region. And the food at the Hotel Restaurant is just superb. The sun shines on the garden side more or less all day and you can enjoy your dinner or a drink outdoors. We are very happy with our stay during a week at the Grünwalderhof and we can highly recommend it!”
“This hotel is in a wonderful location with spectacular views. It is perfectly situated if one is travelling from Austria to Italy - or vice versa - as it is near the Brenner Pass yet in a quiet, rural, Alpine setting. Our room was spacious and quiet with a comfortable bed and additional furnishings which made it feel very homely. The hotel itself is charming and full of history and character and situated next to wonderful walking trails. Parking is easy and the hotel restaurant offers a reasonable menu at fair prices. Breakfast is very good indeed. The staff were very friendly and treated us with respect.”
