“Wonderfull atmosphere in the historic buildings and in the spacious room. Dinner and breakfast in front of the open wood fire.”
“It was a narrow spiral staircase up to second floor that we'd never have been able to navigate with our big bags. Fortunately we had packed a smaller overnight but even so it was a challenge. Anyone who isn't very nimble could not stay in this location. There was no bellman. The main reception and restaurant however, were ultra charming and chef Michelin starred in the past. There are only a few other restaurants in town so if you go late or don't want the big feast (we didn't) be alert to limited choices. Many more French and European tourists in this town rather than Americans as it's off the radar and quite small but I'd go back in a heartbeat. Also the bathroom just had a tub with a spray hose but no shower which did not appeal to my husband at all. So make sure you inquire about what sort of bath you're getting when you stay here,”
“The location was excellent and the village amazing but touristic. The tea and galette were excellent. The hotel and dinner room were authentic and cosy. We liked the setting of the hotel and sleeping room facilities.”
“THE accommodation inside the walls of medieval Perouges. Village seems frozen in the 16th century, which is its charm and appeal. Hotel restaurant is very good. Room was large, quiet and comfortable.”
“The Room was large and very comfortable. The Restaurant was excellent - service very good and attentive. We loved our meal, very innovative menu and wine list. The location in the middle of the village is perfect for an enjoyable stay.”
“We had read that the meals were not up to standard but we had a memorable and very good meal in the Hostellerie.”
“Perouges is essentially a Village Hotel, with accommodation in town houses around the main part and restaurant. The conversion has been sensitively done and it exudes character.”
“Beautiful, traditional French style accommodation. Great room and fab bathroom. Lovely little old fort/village location. Parking in private, secure area. Hotel restaurant 1 minute walk away on the village square. Several other restaurants to choose from if staying for longer than 1 night. Minor complaint at dinner dealt with professionally, politely, and effectively. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.”
“The Perouges village itsef is a wonderful place, staying overnight gives you the chance to enjoy the place after all the tourist dispappear and get viwe from the room. The meals were delicious and service outstanding.”
“The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food in the restaurant was excellent.”
