“Everything was basically great. The varied and nutritious breakfast, the brand new rooms with stylish, minimalistic design, comfortable beds, plenty of space, mini-fridge, views from the breakfast room and room. It was in the middle of nowhere, so minimal light pollution for aurora watching. Sad to only have a one-night stay :)”

“Beautiful view from room (we upgraded to room with lake view). Nice room comes with very decent and modern design. Comfortable and relax. Noticed that some rooms have a small balcony, suitable for those who are waiting to photo shoot northern lights. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious and provided a variety of choices.”

“Great place to spend a couple of nights. Hotel is brand new, rooms are nicely designed and furnished (minimalist, modern design). Bed was cozy and comfortable. Restaurant is good - we had 1 very nice dinner there, as well as some appetizers on a different night (restaurant is somewhat expensive though, even by Iceland standards). Good vegetarian options were offered, which can be hard to find in Iceland. Free breakfast daily - very good, lots of choices, cappuccino machine, fresh bread, etc. - adds to the value. Location is nicely secluded - some of our best northern lights viewing on the trip actually occurred in the parking lot of the hotel!”

“The hotel is absolutely confortable. It provides anything that you will need. After a rainy day in Island, it is the best to have a spacious room with a private bathroom very large, a hot sauna with a view on the Myvatn lake and a restaurant that will cook you a good meal. The breakfast was very good, giving a lot of choices. I definately would come back!”

“Every. Single. Thing. The hotel is designed beautifully. The rooms are spacious, stylish and very very comfortable. The bathroom is all stone with heated floor. The restaurant is quite good and the breakfast is diverse and rich. The staff is very friendly and helpful.”
